Matt Whitney, E.I.T.

Matt Whitney

Prior to joining K2, Matt served as an acoustics intern at Blachford Acoustics Laboratory in Chicago. There, he assisted with experimental set up, and data acquisition and analysis. Using 51 microphones, he characterized the internal and external sound pressure levels of two semi-truck cabs. He also designed and built a Geiger Plate test mount for measuring the damping qualities of materials. Impressed yet?

While a student at the Colorado School of Mines, Matt served as a technician at the Green Center Event Center, providing AV setup services to meet the demanding and specific needs of the center’s many clients. In his spare time, Matt is a Music and Technology Volunteer wearing many hats, including bass guitar player, electric guitar player, live sound technician, lighting director, camera operator, and Pro Presenter operator.
