Recital Hall

Recital Hall

Regis University recently completed a major renovation and expansion of the former Adult Learning Center, renamed Claver Hall. K2 provided room acoustics and noise isolation consulting on the 200-seat recital hall, large and small rehearsal rooms, and various studios and practice rooms.

The recital hall is used by the university for small to medium-sized ensemble and solo performances, as well as lectures, seminars, and other large events. The recital hall was designed with variable acoustical curtains and strategically designed acoustical reflectors over the stage and audience area to accommodate the wide array of events held in the space. K2 also provided AV and theatrical lighting design for the space. The system includes a 3-way, “left, center, right” loudspeaker cluster with side and front fill loudspeakers. The system is capable of providing natural sound reinforcement for events ranging from the spoken word to jazz band performances. A high-definition video projection system is provided for use during presentations, and is also capable of supporting films. The technical systems also include a basic theatrical lighting system consisting of 24 dimmable circuits, as well as a catwalk system for ease of servicing.

In addition to work on the Recital Hall, K2 provided acoustics and AV system design services for a 3,700 sq. ft. multi-purpose room, as well as room acoustics and noise isolation recommendations for the laboratory, cafe, and classroom spaces.
